ABOUT US
Rise Against Hunger Southern California was founded in 2011 and serves Southern California, Arizona, Las Vegas and Utah. In 2017, nearly 25,000 local volunteers and partnering organizations, including IBM, Disney and Laguna Niguel LDS Stake, have helped build the local movement to end global hunger. In this region alone, through 2017, more than 18.2 million meals have been packaged to benefit 14 countries.
Volunteer Opportunities
We have a constant need for volunteers at our Santa Ana warehouse. Warehouse volunteers help us by cleaning meal packaging event equipment, preparing boxes of finished meals for international shipment and helping prepare ingredients and equipment for future meal packaging events. Our Program Warehouse Coordinator, Alex Martinez (amartinez@stophungernow.org), sets up times for volunteers to come in.
Southern California Community Engagement Board
The Rise Against Hunger Southern California location is supported by Community Engagement Board members Kristen Hughes and Joel Kelly.
